We are located at 400 North Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792 on the corner of North Main Street and 4th Avenue East.

Research Library Hours

Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
(See Holiday Closings)
Closed Saturday thru Monday except by appointment.

You may make a reservation to do in-person
research by calling 828-693-1531.

We will also be closed when Henderson
County Public Schools are closed
for inclement weather.

The Society welcomes donations. Donations may be made directly to the Society and may be designated for a specific program or to purchase needed equipment, reference materials, or for building maintenance repairs.  Contributions are tax deductible.

GET INVOLVED

Interested in volunteering? Come help out for a few hours a week or a day in the library,  setting up for meetings, working on the Journal, research & write an article for the Journal.  Assist with  transcribing Court of Pleas minutes. You can also get involved by making a donation.

MURALS OF MAIN STREET

There are five Murals depicting the Main Street of Hendersonville, North Carolina in 1890, 1906, 1916, and 1934  that were painted by William Owen Jones in 1949 on the walls of Dale’s Drive-In Restaurant that was located at 711 Greenville Highway in Hendersonville, NC.
